Emily’s First Miracle

Categories Another Answered Prayer

Nannette here. One day, when Emily was about a year and a half old, she playing with a little fold-up step stool. Suddenly she started to cry. She had caught the tip of her middle finger in the stool when it had begun to fold up on her. She was stuck, and it was not easy for me to free her finger. Once she was free, I immediately pulled my crying baby to myself and held her. I looked at her finger. The skin was not broken, but the tip of her finger was dark purple, like it a blood blister had already formed. She was crying hard, and I cried out to The Lord to take away the pain and to heal her finger. After praying and breastfeeding her to help ease the pain, I looked at her finger again, and it was miraculously SO much lighter in color. I almost thought my mind was making it up! This picture shows the middle finger after a few minutes, where all I could see was some very tiny marks. It was still slightly swollen and warm, but she did not seem to be in pain anymore as she was up playing again. Dark purple to barely a mark in only a few minutes…I’m so thankful to The Lord for this miracle of healing for Emily’s finger!
